Barclays Bank operatic society
The archives contain good runs of records for the staff stage societies. The Operatic Society staged many big productions over the decades, both in public theatres and in the great hall at head office. Many of the early productions were of Gilbert and Sullivan, continental light opera, or even Noël Coward shows. In the 1960s, contemporary American stage musicals were added to the repertoire.
