Caroline Gunner
Caroline Gunner became a partner in Gunner and Company on the death of her husband Charles in 1872. In 1890, having been sole partner for twelve years, she took her two sons into partnership, and remained senior partner until her death in 1906. She is a very unusual example of a female partner in an early bank.
