The late Christopher Bean

This is one of many drawings by Ronald Warner submitted for publication in Spread Eagle staff magazine. Mr Warner was clerk-in-charge at Dulwich and Downham branches in the 1960s. Many of his papers have been kindly donated to the Archives by his son. Here, a young clerk enters his branch manager's room with his explanation for being 10 minutes late.
