Alnwick and County Bank

This partnership bank was founded in 1858 by William Dickson, a solicitor, and William Woods, a banker from Newcastle. On the death of William Woods, Mr. Dickson became the sole proprietor and after his death in 1875, the trustees sold the bank to the North Eastern Banking Co.
