Gateway Building Society

Formed in 1974 by the merger of the Bedfordshire Building Society with the Temperance Permanent Building Society, in 1975 it took over the Wimbledon Building Society and in 1979 the Sandy Building Society. In 1988 it was acquired by the Woolwich.
