Gerrard Group

The Gerrard Group of wealth management companies became part of the Barclays Group in December 2003, when the entire share capital of the holding company, Gerrard Management Services Ltd, was purchased by Barclays Bank PLC from South African based Old Mutual PLC. Old Mutual had acquired the Gerrard group in 2000. Gerrards can be traced back to at least 1870 through Gerrard and National Discount Company and claims a history of 'more than 200 years'.
