A representative's office was opened in Copenhagen in 1971, and served Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland. Barclays then purchased UDT, a Danish bank, in 1981, renaming the subsidiary Barclays Finans A/S. Following this, another branch of Barclays Finans A/S was opened in the city of Arhus. In 2005, it was announced that Barclays was to partner with FӧreningsSparbanken (known as Swedbank) to provide credit cards in the Scandinavian market (Denmark, Sweden and Norway) from a headquarters in Stockholm. The card, known as EnterCard, was launched in 2007. In 2008, a further product, LO Plus Guldort, was launched in the Danish market. All information is correct as of August 2015.
