In 2008, Barclays commercial and retail banking operations were launched in Pakistan, with branches in Islamabad, Karachi and Lahore. Later that year, Barclays launched its first Premier Travel Lounge at Jinnah International Airport in Karachi. By March 2009, Barclays operated a network of 30 ATMs, 9 branches and 10 sales and service centres, and opened its first rural branch in Rawat, Punjab province. In March 2015, it was announced that Barclays were to sell the entirety of its banking businesses within the country to HBL. All information is correct as of August 2015.
