Barclays in the news: bank named as one of The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2019

Barclays has been recognised for its commitment to gender equality throughout the business, in the UK’s best known gender equality listing. 

Barclays has been named in The Times Top 50 Employers for Women 2019 – the UK’s most well established workplace gender equality listing.

The list, created in partnership with Business in the Community, acknowledges employers who have demonstrated a strong commitment to achieving gender equality throughout their business.

As part of the selection process, judges focus on companies’ business strategies, how they are increasing fairer representation in senior roles, and their commitment to promoting gender equality outside of work.

According to Business in the Community, the assessment process also focuses on what businesses are doing in terms of “intersectionality”, “supporting parents and carers”, and tackling “bullying and harassment”.
