Barclays announces updates to Group Executive Committee

Barclays today announces the following updates to its Group Executive Committee, effective immediately:

• Alistair Currie, Group Chief Operating Officer will be leaving Barclays to pursue a board portfolio career.

• Craig Bright and Anne Marie Darling will assume the role of Group Co-Chief Operating Officers and Barclays Execution Services Co-Chief Executive Officers.

Craig joined Barclays in 2020 as Group Chief Information Officer. He has been accountable for the Group’s technology strategy and leading the delivery of our digital transformation across both our consumer and wholesale businesses. Craig has over 30 years of experience in technology and financial services leading technology functions and in designing and implementing complex and large-scale cloud and digital strategies.

Anne Marie joined Barclays in April this year following an extensive 25-year career at Goldman Sachs, where she was a partner for the last 12 years. Anne Marie held many leadership positions during her tenure, including Head of the Global Multi-Asset Platform Sales team, Head of Global FICC Execution Services, COO of Global Securities Sales and Head of Marquee digital distribution strategy.

Craig and Anne Marie have been working closely with Alistair since April in order to effect a smooth transition.
