As a global financial institution, Barclays experiences various attempted scams directed at the bank itself, our clients and customers, and third-party companies or individuals.  Scammers impersonate trusted people and organisations, using emails, phone calls, and texts that seem genuine to build trust.  Increasingly common are “investment scams”, through which scammers misuse the name of real investment professionals or firms to create the appearance of legitimacy.  Sophisticated investment scams can be very convincing.
