Damian Collins launches the refurbished branch in Folkestone

Damian Collins, Member of Parliament for Folkestone and Hythe, formally launched the Barclays Folkestone branch after a major refurbishment.

The branch in Sandgate Road Road has a new layout with an expanded and more welcoming banking hall, and a mix of state of the art self –service technology and traditional counters. The first floor has also been redesigned with a new open plan layout and the entire branch has been redecorated.

Branch manager Jo Roy said: “I’m proud that our branch has been chosen to have this major refurbishment, it’s a big investment in Folkestone and a vote of confidence in the area. We have been getting very positive comments from customers about the re design and it was a pleasure to welcome Damian Collins MP to the branch to show him the improvements we have made.”

Damian Collins MP said: “It was a pleasure to come and see, and to open, the newly refurbished Barclays branch in Folkestone. The newly reopened and improved branch will provide essential services to individuals and local businesses, all of whom will benefit from the updates to the branch. I welcome this investment by Barclays into Folkestone.”

The branch was formally reopened with a ribbon cutting ceremony with Damian Collins MP and Leaonie Watts an apprentice at the branch.
