Barclays supports connectivity provider with new premises

01 May 2018

Evolving Networks Limited has relocated to new premises in Peterborough with banking facilities from Barclays.

Evolving Networks Limited is a specialist provider of enhanced internet connectivity and SD-WAN solutions to business customers in the UK. As the UK’s only SD-WAN software and network provider they occupy a unique position in the market and have recently been named in a global list of the most dynamic SD-WAN companies in the world The company currently employs 15 full time staff and offers 1-2 apprenticeships each year.

Evolving Networks Limited was started in April 2008 by Nick Johnson, with Nic Elliott joining as Chief Technology Officer. Nick and Nic had years of experience in the technology sector and like most start-ups they initially ran the business from their respective homes. Two years later, the company had scaled-up to the extent that it needed more space to take on employees and they re-located to leasehold premises in Thorpe Wood, Peterborough and finally to Lynch Wood, four and a half years ago.

As the company continued to grow and with the added pressure of their current lease due for renewal in March 2018, the Directors felt the time was right to purchase their own premises to give them the stability they needed to continue to grow the company. The search for the right premises took six months and they moved to Nexus House, Commerce Road, Lynch Wood, Peterborough on the 22nd January 2018. With premises twice the size of their previous site, the company has already been able to take on two additional members of staff and will be offering further job opportunities in the coming months.

Nick Johnson, comments: “This is an important phase in our growth, we are providing cutting edge connectivity solutions to businesses throughout the UK and we needed to be able to accommodate our growing business. Our new offices have more space for software developments, sales and administration staff and we anticipate making more hires in all these areas in the coming months and years.”

Neil Collcott, Barclays Business Banking Manager, Peterborough, comments: “This is the story of a very successful scale-up company that is continuing to grow and employing more people. Their technology services are vital in a world where connectivity really matters.”
