"It is such a thrill to see the Glasgow Campus come to fruition, four years after beginning this journey.
From the start, we have worked closely and collaboratively with both Scottish enterprises and the local council to realise a mutual vision - to develop and regenerate what has been a brownfield site for many years, kick-starting the expansion of the city south of the River Clyde, with the aim of retaining and attracting the very best talent.
At the heart of our vision, was a world class and sustainable campus that contributes to Barclays goal for all our campus sites to be net zero by 2030. The Glasgow campus will also be the first to implement a zero waste strategy.
We are proud to have created a unique porous working environment that embraces and welcomes all - offering community hub spaces which allow us to work with local social enterprise, local start-ups and great local micro businesses and curate a diverse list of suppliers, providing them with the platform to showcase their products and services and provide an enhanced experience for our colleagues.
It’s been wonderful to support these businesses and also work with talented local designers and contractors in conjunction with our global partners in bringing this wonderful campus to life. We really hope that their experience with us will be a catalyst and enable further opportunities for them to share their talents and their commitment to the community in Glasgow."
