Our approach to environmental and social issues is grounded in the work we do every day, right across our business, supported in turn by the governance and oversight of our management and Board structures.
This Resource Hub provides detailed technical information, disclosures and our position statements on environmental, social and governance matters. It is intended to be relevant for analysts, ESG investors, rating agencies, suppliers, clients and all other stakeholders. We have also launched a new online ESG Data Hub providing access to key ESG related metrics in a single place.
Barclays publishes a comprehensive Environment Social Governance (ESG) report within the Barclays PLC Annual Report on pages 51 to 104 in response to specific stakeholder interest in more detailed disclosures on non-financial matters, including material environmental and social topics.
We provide additional information online. including progress reporting through our membership of initiatives such as the Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB), as well as reporting indices with reference to the relevant sector guidelines from the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) and the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).
We believe that comprehensive, robust and comparable disclosures are essential to enabling stakeholders to understand our activity and progress. That is true not just in relation to climate change, but also to broader sustainability and ESG matters.
