Here’s how we are creating a more inclusive Barclays
Our global employee resource groups (ERG) play a critical role in achieving Barclay’s ambitions for diversity and inclusion. They provide valuable support and advice, create development opportunities, and raise awareness of issues, challenges and initiatives. They also support our campaigns and build relationships with colleagues across Barclays and with external organisations in the communities where we operate.
Every ERG is open to all employees who wish to support the business in accomplishing its diversity goals and creating an inclusive culture.

Where local workforces don’t have enough people to form individual ERGs, they can come together as an Inclusion Community to support diversity on site.

They provide an opportunity to build a community of colleagues and allies with shared goals and interests. They are constructive agitators to our senior leaders, and act as a collective voice for our colleagues. They create connections, provide support, and enhance our talent attraction and retention efforts. And in support of their membership, ERGs provide mentoring and leadership development.
Our ERG’s are open to all colleagues and we encourage colleagues to also sign up as allies and supporters to learn and engage with other diversity groups. Being a part of an ERG creates a sense of belonging, and gives you a voice in support of driving progress on diversity, equity, and inclusion across Barclays."
