Barclays ‘Fan Chants’ signed merchandise Competition T&Cs

This document sets out the rules for this competition. Make sure you read them carefully and understand them all before you enter the draw.

Introduction

Barclays is running a promotion (the “Promotion”) giving you a chance to win items of signed Premier League merchandise from your favourite 2019/20 Premier League team, if you enter the competition between 17th June 2020 and 28th June 2020 (the “Competition”). We have 20 prizes available for 20 different winners – see table outlined later in this document.

By entering, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.

Rules

1.      “The Promoter”, “Barclays”, “we”, “us” and “ours” means Barclays Bank UK PLC, 1 Churchill Place, London E14 5HP.

2.      “Employee” for the purposes of this Promotion means a full time or part time employee on a permanent or fixed term contract, or anyone undertaking an internship, sub-contracting role, or work placement with one of the following entities or their direct suppliers at the time of the draw:

a)     Barclays Bank UK PLC;

b)     Barclays Bank PLC; or

c)      Barclays Execution Services Limited

Who may enter?

3.      The Competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man), aged 18 years or over, at the time of entry.

4.      You are not eligible for this Competition if you are:

(a) materially connected to the administration of the Competition; or

(b) an Employee of Barclays Bank PLC, Barclays Bank UK PLC or Barclays Execution Services Limited.

How to enter

5.      You can enter the Competition from 09:00am on Wednesday 17th June 2020 until 23:59pm on Sunday 28th June 2020 (the “Promotion Period”). Entries made after this time will not be valid, even if they appear to be registered.

6.      Entry into the Competition is free.

7.      To enter the Competition, you must:

(a)    Upload a video of yourself singing the given song (as shown in Clause 10) for your favourite Premier League club (referred to as “Video Submission”) , on your own social media feed (either Twitter, Instagram or Facebook),

(b)   Include the hashtag #AllToPlayFor on the post accompanying your video, and

(c)    Enter during the Promotion Period.

You will then be entered into the Competition for merchandise from your favourite 2019/20 Premier League club, based on the team you are supporting in your Video Submission.

8.      If your video includes any other participants, please ensure you have their consent prior to submitting your video.

9.      There are 20 19/20 Premier League clubs. Each 19/20 Premier League club will have its own pool of entrants to be judged and a winner selected.

11.   Only one entry per person for the Competition is permitted.

12.   Lost, delayed, undelivered, incomplete, entries made via third parties or multiple entries will not be entered into the Competition. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for entries not successfully completed due to a technical fault, technical malfunction, computer hardware or software failure, satellite, network or server failure of any kind. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any entries which are not completed for any reason.

13.   Entries with obscenities, of a defamatory nature, include any personal details (e.g. address or bank details), or infringe any third party rights will be excluded from the Competition.

The Prize

14.   There will be twenty (20) Competition winners in total; one (1) for each Premier League cub listed in Clause 10. Each winner will win 2 pieces of 2019/20 Premier League merchandise, signed by their favourite 2019/20 Premier League team (as determined by which team chant they submit in their video) (the "Prize"). With the exception of Everton Football Club, winners will receive 1 signed shirt and 1 signed ball. The winner for Everton Football Club will receive 2 home shirts, signed by the 2019/20 club.

16.   The Prize has no cash equivalent, and no alternatives will be offered. The Prize and participation in the Competition cannot be exchanged or transferred, and may be subject to additional terms and conditions of the Premier League. However, in the event that the Prize offered is unavailable due to circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to offer alternative prizes of equal or greater value.

Selecting the Winner

17.    Each Video Submission will be reviewed by an independent panel of 3 judges, based on a set criteria:

(a)   Ensuring fans sing the right song as listed in Clause 10; and

(b)   The level of passion shown in their Video Submission for their favourite football club.

18.   Judging will take place by Friday 10th July 2020 .There will be 1 winner selected for each of the Premier League clubs shown in Clause 10.

19.   If a Video Submission contains 2 or more people, each person can submit it under their individual social media channels. If the Video Submission is then selected as the winning submission for their chosen 19/20 Premier League team, then a winner will be selected at random from those who have submitted the video.

20.   The Promoter will notify the winners via Direct Message, by Tuesday 14th July 2020, on the social media channel where they uploaded their Video Submission.

21.   Each winner will be provided with an email address for them to contact to obtain further information about fulfilling their Prize. We will also ask each winner to confirm they are comfortable with us using their winning Video Submission to contribute to a ‘mash-up’ video asset which shows a wide selection of video entrants, which will be posted on our Barclays Football social channels (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram).

22.   The Promoter retains the copyright on all entries.

23.   The Promoter can replace any entrant selected as the winner if:

(a) the entrant does not respond to the Direct Message and/or subsequent email within 48 hours of the Direct Message and/or email being sent; or

(b) we reasonably believe the entrant has broken these rules.

24.   Barclays is not liable for delayed or non-delivery of Prizes for any reason beyond its control, including but not limited to loss or theft in transit or any failure by you to accept delivery of a Prize for any reason. The Prize may only be delivered to addresses in the UK (excluding Jersey, Guernsey and Isle of Man). The Prize will be delivered within 30 days of the Competition ending. Whilst every effort will be made to deliver each Prize within the stated period, delays may occur due to Coronavirus.

25.   With the exception of any winner who has requested a suppression of their details under applicable data protection laws, the name and county of the winner(s) will be made available to anyone sending an email entitled ‘Home Terrace Social Media Competition’ to the following email address jennifer.schofield@barclays.com; within twenty eight (28) days of the published closing date.

26.   Winners of this promotion can request for a suppression of any disclosure of their details, subject to any requirements to share promotion prize winners information with relevant regulators or to fulfil a legal requirement. All winners will be offered this right at the point of the winning notification detailed in Clause 20.

27.   The Promoter’s selection of the winner is final. No other correspondence will be entered into.

Personal Information

28.   The Promoter will only collect, store and use your personal information, such as name, social media account, and home address, in line with all applicable privacy laws, for the purposes of entering you into and administering the Competition as set out in these rules, and not for any other purpose without your consent. This will not affect any existing marketing preferences that you have registered with Barclays. For more information, please see https://home.barclays/privacy-policy/.

29.   By entering the Competition, you consent that your personal information may be transferred to our service providers and agents (including their sub-contractors) to store and use as necessary, excluding any details of your social media account, to administer the Competition. Barclays will ensure that any third parties processing or storing your personal information for the Competition, shall comply with the same data protection requirements as Barclays and this personal data will only be processed for the purposes of administering this Competition. The winner of the Competition consents that their personal information may be transferred to our service providers and agents (including their sub-contractors) to store and use as necessary to publicise the Competition. If required, the winner of the Competition consents to their personal address being transferred to a courier company/postal service for the purpose of delivering the Prize. We will never pass your information to any third party for them to use in their own direct marketing, without your consent.

30.   Your personal information will be held on record for a short period of time as necessary to administer the Competition and then securely destroyed. To satisfy regulatory reporting requirements, personal information for the winners will be held on file for a period of 6 months.

Liability

31.   To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be liable for any loss, damage, injury or disappointment suffered in connection with the Competition (including but not limited to, any damage to your or any other person’s computer or mobile phone equipment as a consequence of downloading or accessing any materials), or any delays or failure (in whole or in part) to perform any of its obligations if such delay or failure is caused by something beyond its reasonable control.

32.   The Promotion is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Twitter, Facebook or Instagram. You agree to release Twitter, Facebook and Instagram from any liability associated with the Promotion.

General

33.   Owing to exceptional circumstances outside its reasonable control, the Promoter may choose to withdraw or amend the Competition.

34.   By submitting an entry, you warrant that all information submitted as part of the entry is true, current and complete. The Promoter reserves the right to verify all entries.

35.   These rules shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and the courts of England shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising in respect of this Competition.
