  • Football

    From the start of the 2019/20 season Barclays will become the title sponsor of the Barclays FA Women’s Super League. Together with its sponsorship of the Premier League, where it has extended its partnership as the Official Banking Partner for another three years, Barclays will become the first brand to sponsor the leading English leagues in both men’s and women’s football. With the Premier League firmly established as the most popular league in men’s football worldwide, Barclays is joining the FA as partner of the WSL as its sets off on its journey to become the leading women’s league just one year after turning fully professional.

    Barclays will also become lead partner of the FA Girls’ Football Schools Partnerships, an initiative to help girls at schools across England gain access to football, and all the physical, mental and skills based benefits that will bring.

  • Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park

    Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park takes place in the iconic park in the heart of London. By offering exclusive ticketing opportunities and utilising our payment technology, we are able to offer our customers unique promotions, contactless payments and VIP experiences.

  • The Donmar Warehouse

    Barclays is the principal sponsor of the Donmar Warehouse – a 250 seat subsidised theatre in the heart of London's West End.

    The Donmar is a hot-house for talented new writers, for re-appraising European classics and for British and American drama and musical theatre.

    The theatre has an international standing, garnering critical acclaim at home and abroad and with a particular reputation for artistic excellence, presenting some of London's most memorable theatrical experiences and showcasing the talents of some of the country's finest actors, writers, directors and designers.

    In November 2012 Barclays and the Donmar partnered to create Barclays Front Row, a ticket initiative that gives audiences access to £10 front row seats throughout the run of each production. Two-thirds of the front row seats are held back for all performances and put on sale every Monday for the week of performances two weeks later. These tickets are available with no booking fee, through all normal channels.

    In 2011, we extended our sponsorship to include the purchase and renovation of Donmar Dryden Street, a state-of-the-art rehearsal, education and administration space just 3 minutes walk from the theatre. Donmar Dryden Street brings together all of the Donmar’s off-stage activities under one roof for the first time including rehearsals, administration and education work and opened in March 2014.

  • Barclays Center

    In the heart of Brooklyn, at the crossroads of Atlantic and Flatbush Avenues, Barclays Center is setting a new standard as the stand out venue for the world’s most thrilling entertainment and sports events.

    Developed by Brooklyn-based developer Forest City Ratner Companies and designed by the award-winning architectural firms AECOM and SHoP Architects, Barclays Center serves as the state-of-the-art home of the NBA’s Brooklyn Nets, boasts one of the most intimate seating configurations ever designed for a modern multi-purpose arena, and is a model for sustainable design and construction.

    Unparalleled sightlines for 17,732 welcome basketball fans to the action and audiences of up to 18,000 can be accommodated for musical or other performances. Professional hockey will soon be part of Barclays Center’s line-up when the New York Islanders move to the borough in 2015.

    Since its opening on September 28, 2012 with the first of eight consecutive sold out shows by JAY Z, Barclays Center has continued to host the world’s most renown performers, including Barbra Streisand, The Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Beyoncé, Rihanna, Andrea Bocelli, Dave Matthews Band, Bruno Mars and Coldplay all topping the bill.

    Barclays Center has become both a critical and commercial success, helping Barclays further establish its brand in New York and across the wider United States. The Center was named 2012 Pollstar Award Best New Major Concert Venue and 2013 Sports Business Awards Sports Facility of the Year whilst Billboard and Venues Today magazines, ranked Barclays Center as the top-grossing U.S. venue for concerts and family shows and the top-seller of tickets in their 2013 report.

    Whilst its huge popularity has made it in to a top venue, it was equally important that it was recognised for its positive impact on the communities where it is based and the achievement of Architizer A+ Building of the Year Award, LEED® Silver Certification for New Construction from the U.S. Green Building Congress and Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce Brooklyn Building Award for Economic Development were seen as a essential to its long-term success.

    The unparalleled lineup of sport and entertainment icons, its excellent viewing for fans, great hospitality as well as its high regard in the local community and amongst critics mean standards run high in Brooklyn. Good thing, because Barclays Center continues to raise the bar.
