Reporting and disclosures
Our approach to environmental and social issues is becoming increasingly integrated in the work we do across our business and is subject to the governance and oversight of our management and Board structures. Reflecting this trend, we took the decision to integrate our ESG report into the 2021 Barclays PLC Annual Report.
We were one of the founding signatories of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Banking (PRB) in 2019 and support further efforts to enhance ESG reporting and advocate for improved consistency across the industry across disclosures and ESG ratings and benchmarks.
We participate in a range of regional and global industry efforts to promote increased harmonisation on data, taxonomies and disclosures. As reporting standards develop and begin to be implemented across jurisdictions, we will continue to evolve our approach to ESG disclosures in line with regulatory guidance and market practice.
