Barclays football

Barclays has a rich history in football. From the elite level to grassroots, we’ve been supporting football for 25 years.

SPONSORSHIP

A female footballer promoting Barclays commitment to football

We are committed to football across the entire football pyramid. At the elite level, we’ve partnered with the Premier League for over two decades and were the first title sponsor of the Women’s Super League when it became professional in 2019, proud to now be in our sixth season.

We are striving to pave the way for the future of the beautiful game. Whether that be providing equal access for girls in schools through the Barclays Girls’ Football School Partnerships or providing grants through the Barclays Community Sport Fund.

We’re here for it all because there is no football without grassroots football.

There is no football without grassroots football

When it comes to the beautiful game, we’re here for it all. From the grandstands, to the grassroots. Barclays has invested millions in community sports since 2001. Supporting the superstars, and the future stars, because there is no football without grassroots football.

The incredible impact

We’ve published a report that looks at the incredible positive impact the development of women’s and girls’ football can have on society, beyond the pitch. No matter what your life goal might be, football can help you get there.
